Writing Unlikeable Characters: WLT Third Thursday
Writers League of Texas (WLT) hosts Third Thursday each month, featuring discussions focusing on specific topics of interest to writers and readers, bringing together distinguished panelists for conversations moderated by a WLT staff member. Panels are held at 8-9:30pm CT / 9-10:30pm ET.

In July, E. J. joins WLT’s Third Thursday panel discussion to explore “Writing Unlikeable Characters.”
For this conversation, we’ll be flipping that concept of an “unlikeable character” on its head. This will be a celebration of characters who are complex and messy and challenging and sometimes just plain awful. Characters we love to hate, characters we hate to love, and characters we’d much prefer to spend an afternoon with, truth be told, if given the choice.
